1. This is the result of a planting with the Dubai Municipality June, 2012
2. These trees are planted in April 2012, normally impossible to plant as it is too hot
3. With the Groasis Ecological Water Saving Technology we can however plant year round so we planted Ghaf tree (Prosopis cineraria)
4. This series was shot at 10AM with +48°C and a very high sun radiation
5. Mr. Anwar Sarhan Groasis distributor for Dubai
6. Some boxes are covered with sand but the water in it cools the soil down below and the tree grows well
7. Some boxes are already dry but thee cooling effeect and the anti-evaporation effect help the tree overcome the immense heat
8. We check the humitidy below the Waterboxx® without water
9. Below the Waterboxx® the soil is humid
10. Desert beetles search this humid and cool place to survive
11. We start to dig deeper to check the rootss of thee trees
12. The soil is cool and humid and the roots have well developed in only two months
13. Detail of humid soil in Dubai below the Groasis Waterboxx®
14. At planting we have pruned the destroyed primary roots to a vertical downwards growing shape
15. The primary root has resprouted and grows vertically downwards
16. This is a detail of the perfect vertically downwards growing tap root two months after planting
17. We replant the tree and cover the side of the Waterboxx® with sand again
18. We come back at 6PM to shoot another series with less sun radiation it is now +38°C
19. The protectors have been put because this area is used for motor crossing
20. Only a few are still intact and on their place
21. Two wild camels are eating from a Ghaf tree
22. Within a few years this area will be covered with native trees that can help restore biodiversity
23. The trees on the background right prove that deserts can be planted and restored
24. Good growth of the Ghaf tree (Prosopis cineraria) with the Groasis Waterboxx® in Dubai
25. As circumstances are very challenging we plant two trees if one dies you still have the other this way we reach easy above 90% survival rate
26. Strong winds shape a surface in the desert that looks like the surface of water on the sea
27. We thank Mr. Talib Abdulkareem Mohammed from Dubai Municipality for the trust in the Groasis Technology to do a fantastic challenging trial by planting in the hot season
