Grow lettuce in a water saving way

February, 2015. Bill has proven that you can plant many different kinds of lettuce with only one Waterboxx® plant cocoon. By using 4 wicks instead of one, attached to capillary mats, you can increase the range of the box tremendously. More information about this project can be found over here!

1. Make 4 holes of 4,8 mm diameter and put 4 wicks
2. Use and connect capillary mats
3. Spread the capillary mats underneath the Waterboxx®

5. Make a lxwxh 120 inch (300 cm) x 24 inch (60 cm) x 24 inch (60 cm) box with 10 inch (25 cm) of soil in it
6. Take polystyrene plus aluminium foil and design 6 x 6 inch (15x15 cm) squares and make an opening in center

8. Put anti-evaporation cover under the Groasis Waterboxx® plant cocoon
9. Put the Groasis Waterboxx® plant cocoon over the plant
10. Grow different kinds of lettuce with the Waterboxx® plant cocoon in a water saving way
11. The lettuce is growing very well without the help of irrigation
12. The Waterboxx® plant cocoon supports many lettuce plants in your garden
